Branson Creek Ph 2 - Flat Creek

Crew will be back to line testing B line today, but first they’ll be grouting outside of wetwell 10” pipe connection. 

7:30am- Crew has removed excess foam from yesterday,  Spray foam was used to seal up initial gap in offset hole overlap from coring job. The 10” new hole overlapped the original 8” hole. Grout will be mixed and applied over and around the connection now. 

7:46am- grouting is now completed. 

9:09am- crew applies ram-nek to D1 MH so that cone can be set and backfilled today. 

9:17am- cone now placed on D1. 

10:15am- crew is back now on B line to resume testing. 

10:53am- MH B1 now passes vacuum test. 

11:17am- line from B1-B2 is under test. 

11:31am-line passes air test. 

11:52am- line from B2 - LS on test. 

11:59am- line passes air test from B2 - LS. 

12:14pm- MH B2 passes vacuum test. 

1:50pm- crew will set up and air test 10” line now at LS6. 

2:04pm- 10” line up s now under test from D1 to LS6. 

2:14pm- 10” line passes air test. 

2:26pm- MH D1 passes vacuum test. 

3:03pm- MH D1 getting grouted. 

4:20pm-one band is now on drop in MH A26. Another will need installed. 

5:00om- crew is calling it a day.

7:06am- crew will work on D line today again. New holes will be cut in D1 manhole and the wet well to receive 10” pipe. 

8:12am- 10” pipe has arrived o site. 

9:30am- coring is getting done now at MH D1. 

10:33am- LS6 is now cored.

11:39am- rock breaking occurring to get trench opened and to depth between D1 and wetwell. 

12:49pm- a little fine tuning taking place so gasket fits better. 

1:13pm- 1st joint now placed headed to wetwell from MH D1 with 10” pipe. 

2:13pm- 3rd joint placed. 

3:46pm- crew prepares to lay last joint into wetwell. A 5’ section was placed before this last 11’-3” piece. 

4:04pm- wetwell now connected to line. Crew will gravel and backfill to a point and then begin grouting around gasket on the top to seal connection.

6:57am- crew will be working on D line today at LS6. 

7:50am- crew dry stacks MH D1 so that it can be cored to 10” today.  

8:50am- some rock breaking has occurred on D line just outside of Liftstaion. 

10:38am- 10” line cut cut and a section is removed as crew prepares to glue a cap on the end to be abandoned in place. 

11:29am- manhole D1 is now set in place. There is a grade issue though and we are trying to work through it along with the difference in pipe diameters. 

1:32pm- crew working on adding a 12” spool to one side for enough to connect to between wetwell and vault. 

3:03pm- upright valve going in now as crew cuts more bolts for the short ones needed. 

4:16pm- valving and such is complete for today. Crew will begin setting up pump and then pumping down wet well for the rest of today. 

4:51pm- wet well is now pumped down.

7:10am- crew will be testing line B today and attempting to break concrete encasement from around existing 8” tie in for line D at LS6. 

A look at the floor in the valve vault after brooming it late Wednesday evening. 

8:16am- line test from B1 MH to Existing MH passes air test. 

8:53am- vacuum test on MH B1 is attempted, but never pulls vacuum. Test ball for line testing also bad. 

Crew will quit here and go jackhammer on existing line encasement at D1 manhole location. 

9:46am- jackhammering begins. 

10:14am- line is now exposed. One issue though, line is 10”. 

1:04pm- crew has decided to start attaching valve vault fittings today now. D1 manhole was ordered 8” so it will need cored out to 10”. 

2:25pm- marking bolts so that they can be cut down so they don't hit the valves once put through the flanges. 

4:07pm- one side of the set up going in. 

5:03pm- last bit of tightening to round out the day.

-No work today due to Rain. Work will continue tomorrow.
